Later the dream expanded even more when some of the movies became theme park attractions. I spent a good part of my youth on the back-lot of Universal dreaming of being a filmmaker. The new cinema boasts all the latest technology including Dolby ATMOS sound, deluxe recliner seats, Christie RGB laser projection and a renovated concession area. Spielberg was joined by Jordan Peele, Will Packer and Jason Blum who walked the red carpet and teamed up for ribbon-cutting duties at the AMC theater. On Thursday 20th April, Steven Spielberg joined others for the glitzy debut of Universal Studios Hollywood’s upgraded movie theater now called the Universal Cinema.
